Billardiera longiflora

Also known as Climbing Blueberry or Appleberry, the Mountain Blue berry originates from New South Wales and Tasmania.

When grown it reaches a height of 2 - 3m, flowering in June.  Pendent, narrow bell-shaped flowers open a pale chartreuse, turning a creamy white in its prime and then maturing to lavender-purple.

Climber, enjoying full sun to partial shade.

Sow seed in Spring, may benefit from smoke treatment.  Germination approx. 8 - 10 weeks, but can take up to 12 months.  Provide Humus rich, neutral to acidic, lime-free, moist, well-drained soil. Prune in spring or after fruiting and is only necessary for rejuvenation or to keep confined to its space.

10 seeds per packet
