Lettuce Leaf Basil is an annual sweet basil variety that produces very large crinkled leaves up to around 12cm long, and nearly as wide, similar in shape to lettuce leaves. This sweet basil is just a bit more subtle than the Genovese Basil variety. It is great for making pesto, tossing into fragrant salads, and perfect for making delicious Lettuce Leaf Basil Wraps.
Will grow to a height of around 50cm.
Basil generally does well in a wide range of climates, particularly temperate and sub-tropical warmer areas. It is an exceptionally popular herb in the kitchen, and great to add to tomato dishes and for making basil pesto.
