Beta vulgaris
Detroit Beetroot is an abundant variety producing round shaped deep red beetroots with smooth skins. The leafy green tops are edible and useful in mixed garden salads.
Sow seed approx. 1.5mm deep directly where you want to grow it, Spring to Autumn, in full sun, moist, well composted soil. Germination approx. 5 - 10 days. Maturity approx. 60 days.
