Bootlace Bark (Tie Bush) is a Twiggy shrub to 1.5m on stony clay on rainforest margins and moist eucalypt forests. Tubular greenish-yellow flowers to 7mm, spring to autumn. Poisonous TOXIC orange to red fruit to 7mm.  Dense Rounded Habit, Evergreen Perennial, Dark Green leaves to 6 cm, Dull underneath. 

Tough stringy bark is a rough and ready string if torn off in thin strips, giving the ‘name’. Aboriginal medicinal source. Subject of Cancer Medicine Research.

NOTE - Berries are TOXIC to livestock and humans.  Take caution where this is planted.
