Small, red fleshed fig with good flavour. The fruits ripen from red to dark-red almost black and are sweet and floral tasting. Heavy cropping and no splitting in wet weather. Ideal native fig for a wide range of climates. The leaves are rough and sand-papery and were used by Indigenous Australians to finish wooden tools.
The fruit makes the BEST jam and fig paste and due to the super high pectin content they are great to add to other jams you may be making later on during the year.
Suitable for pots, 2-5m tree (max height in ground). Self pollinating.
Host Plant for Moonbeam Butterflies. Attracts Fig Birds.
NOTE - We offer postage for all living plants via SENDLE door to door courier.
