Flowers - Infusion - Take for irritable bowel syndrome, poor appetite and indigestion. Drink a cup at night for insomnia, anxiety and stress. Add 200-400ml strained infusion to a baby's bath water at night to encourage sleep.
Flowers - Tincture - Use for irritable bowel, insomnia and tension.
Flowers - Ointment - Use for insect bites, wounds, itching eczema, and for anal or vulval irritaion.
Flowers - Mouthwash - Use the infusion for mouth inflammations.
Flowers - Eyewash - Dissolve 5-10 drops of tincture in warm water, and use for conjunctivitis or strained eyes.
Flowers - Inhalation - Add 2tsp flowers to a basin of boiling water for catarrh, hay fever, asthma or bronchitis.
Cautions - Do not exceed stated doses of the herb and avoid the oil completely in pregnancy, as it is a uterine stimulant.
Chamomile can cause contact dermatitis.
