Echinacea purpurea is a perennial herb that grows to approx. 80cm high. It is a native North American wildflower that is highly attractive to butterflies. It has beautiful purple flowers, and is often used medicinally to assist good immunity.
The plant looks very pretty planted into garden borders and the flowers are lovely in floral arrangements. Also known as "Purple Coneflower".
Sow approx. 6mm deep in Autumn to Spring, part or full sun, moist well drained soil. Germination approx. 10 - 15 days. Pluck off spent flowers to encourage more flower growth.
