
Foeniculum vulgare purpurascens
Smokey Bronze Fennel is feathery with reddish-bronze leaves. The flowers of Fennel are very attractive to beneficial insects. It looks lovely as an ornamental at the back of flower and herb gardens. The leaves can be used as a garnish, and the seeds have a range of uses in the kitchen.
Sow seed approx. 8mm deep, in temperate areas from late Summer to Autumn; in subtropical areas in Autumn, (March - May), full sun, moist well drained soil. Germination approx. 7 - 14 days. Maturity in approx. 80-90 days.
