Brassica oleracea acephala
The Baby Tuscan Kale variety is a hardy Annual that grows to 30cm. This variety is well suited to baby leaf production. It offers tender dark green leaves with a mild sweet flavour. Best harvested when leaves are around 10cm tall. Great for continuous harvesting, and can be eaten raw or cooked. Tuscan kale is also known as "Cavolo Nero", "Black Cabbage" or "Wild Cabbage".
Sow 7mm deep, late Summer and Autumn. Full sun, well draining soil. Approx. 55 days to full maturity.
