Marshmallow is a Perennial herb growing to approx. 120cm high. It is a bushy plant with dark green leaves and white and pink coloured flowers.

The leaves and flowers can be harvested in late Summer to early Autumn. You can usually get two clippings from the plant. Marshmallow roots are harvested in Autumn from second or third year plants. They are chopped while still fresh and then dried.
Sow seed approx. 5mm deep, in Spring and Autumn. Germination approx. 10-14 days. Maturity of flowers 120 days, 2 - 3 years for roots.
