Spring Pompei Onion produces a small white skinned bulb with mild flavour, it can be eaten raw or cooked, and the bulbs are often used for pickling. Leaves may be eaten as spring onions/shallots.
Sow 5mm deep, Autumn and Winter. Full sun, well drained soil. Germination approx. 7 - 10 days. Maturity for leaves approx. 50 days, bulbs 90 days. Suitable to grow in containers.
