Tagetes lucida
Mexican Tarragon is also known as Sweet Mace, Winter Tarragon, Cloud Plant and Sweet Marigold and is a perennial Herb, native to Mexico. It was used medicinally by the Aztec people in the past.
It reaches a height of around 70cm, and produces clusters of bright yellow flowers, with aniseed flavoured leaves, much stronger than French Tarragon.
Sow 3mm deep, Spring, full sun, well drained deep fertile soil. It enjoys warmer climates and is frost sensitive. Germination in approx. 10 - 14 days.
