Solanum lycopersicum
The Black Zebra tomato variety is a vine (indeterminate) and will require staking. It is a Ukrainian Heirloom that shows good disease resistance, and is drought tolerant.
The medium size fruit has a solid deep red colour inside, with green stripes on the outside. The flavour is exceptionally rich and contain hints of smoke and sweetness.
Sow approx. 6mm deep, in well drained rich soil. Plant Aug, Sept, October.
