The Tatura Dwarf Tomato is a Bush (determinate) variety. Produces a wonderful glut of red medium sized tomatoes on a compact bush plant. Great for growing in pots or containers for gardeners with limited space.
The tomatoes have a mild flavour and a smooth skin. Great for preserving, canning and for sauces. This variety is named after the town in Victoria where it was developed and commercially grown as a sauce tomato.
Plants may require staking. Keep well watered. Pick when mature to encourage more fruit. To reduce the risk of disease water the base/roots rather than overhead. Rotate crops: do not plant in the same position two years in a row.
Sow 5mm deep, Spring and early Summer, full sun, moist well drained soil. Germination approx. 5 - 10 days.
