The Grey Zucchini is also known as the Mexican Grey Squash, or Middle Eastern, Lebanese Zucchini. It has great flavour, and is slightly sweeter than some other zucchini varieties. It is crisp and may be eaten raw or cooked, flowers are edible as well.
Sow seed approx. 2cm deep, in Spring after frost, in moist well drained, well composted, high nitrogen soil. In tropical and sub-tropical areas avoid sowing seed if high humidity is present. Harvest zucchini when they are around 15cm long, Plan for 2 plants per 4-6 people. Maturity approx. 50 days.
